Everybody has, had or will think of becoming a writer for some part of their life. Writing their own story which will make people cry and laugh and then getting famous. If we clear cut the idea, then people don’t love writing, they just love the outcomes of being a writer.

Meet Sanket, an amateur writer who just wanted to express his feelings through pen and then when his friends and acquaintances praised him, he took his writing skills ahead.

Let’s have a talk with him:

When did you realize that you have such a great writer in you? How did it all start?

Being an amateur writer, there wasn’t any boastful starter of my writings. I just eventually used to express my feelings through a pen and started getting appreciations for my writings from my friends and that gave a boost to my confidence. I started looking out for more plots and motivation from self and people around me.

A lot of people get their inspiration and motivation from you. Where do you get your motivation from?

Life is not an easy take, you’ll always come to a place where you’ll have to strive and struggle for things that you always want in your life and I believe one cannot cope up with such situations with just one motivation.

A motivation for me definitely comes from within and people around me.

It all depends on what purpose I need motivation.

Apart from motivation, all that you need is self-discipline, for it may never fail you but can only be achieved by practice of self, making sure that however you feel in life, you can still achieve anything.

What is love according to you?

Love… I believe this word gets tossed around more than it should be. It’s more than just a simple word and can have a lot of meaning.

To me, love is trust, commitment, communication, willingness, arguments, tenderness, and beyond. And this holds good for any type of relation.

Love is definitely a beautiful experience that surely brings out the best in you. It not only makes you feel good on the inside but also make you more of a ‘YOU’ version.

It inspires you to do good in your life and make you feel everything beautiful and at peace.

What advice would you like to give to the aspiring writers?

Expression of your feelings in terms of words is the mantra of writing. The impression is the tantra. People look towards impressing others by using difficult words which at last always get muddled up and you get distracted from the base. One should write to express and not to impress.

And when you write, you don’t have to be special or a literary genius to write good poems–all you have to do is take an ordinary object, place, person, or idea, and come up with a new perception of it.

And everything after that will automatically follow to its best.

What do you think about writers and writings in today’s age?

The youth is extraordinarily booming with wonderful writings on social media. People are getting more connected and relating their lives to the writings.

There is a different audience for the contemporary poetry which is growing in the country, be it open mic or storytelling or posting quotes on social media.

Social sites like YouTube, YourQuotes, Instagram, Facebook is definitely providing a platform for new writers. And that is opening new doors for people who are aspiring to become a writer or a poet or a storyteller.

How social media collaborated in your career?

I genuinely believe that social media has a major impact on my career as an aspiring writer.
Most of the Shayari/Nazm that I write is on Instagram and that is how I interact with people out there.

I receive appreciation and feedbacks based on the content of my writings and that surely helps me a lot to analyze the quality of my work and the kind of Shayaris and quotes people like to read.

Based on such observations I try to post my works that go with their interest.

So yes social media have a big influence on my career.

What should be the last line of your biography?

हूं कहीं में अपनों के करीब,
कभी फुरसत मिले तो नजर उठाकर देख लेना।

and this translates into many things.
